Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, but the absence of a bath was a letdown. The service, managed efficiently by the duty manager, was excellent, though some areas needed improvement. The location in the beautiful village of Castleton was charming, but the lack of clear views was a downside. The dining experience offered lovely outdoor seating but missed the mark with additional charges for hot food. Overall, a mixed but decent experience.
The hotel is in the heart of the beautiful village of Castleton, beneath the old castle. The rooms are cozy with traditional features, but could use better lighting. The service from the duty manager was well managed, though improvements are needed from the management. The location is central, but not all shops are open, especially the craft shops. Dining options are expensive with additional charges for cooked meals. The facilities are simple yet satisfying.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were rather expensive, but they were well-equipped and in good condition. The continental breakfast lacked light in the bedroom, which was a downside for me.
